Of all the work I’ve been involved in… this was a piece that made me happiest. When our friend Tom Frame (2000ad’s letterer par excellence) died, I organised this tribute with the help of a tonne of amazing artists. I did a layout and asked each artists to draw a character, then I put it together in Photoshop.
    Everyone was extremely generous, but it was like herding cats.
Some notable exceptions, of course….When I asked Simon Bisley , he had the art to me with in 15 MINUTES.. what a top man.
Jock also saved my bacon, and stepped in at the last minute when someone else failed to deliver..again, an absolute star.

The whole thing was to raise money for the Marie Curie Hospice…. who I’d actively ask you to donate too. They help people. xxxxx
