MEGACITY UNDERCOVER commission piece with a little digital halftone!
Thank you!!! I really appreciate your support!
I’m gonna run a competition in the New Year for photos of best location/mentalness/weirdness while wearing your shirt!!
A DEATH commission. A little digital half tone added for fun.
Here’s a Commission rough that I’ve digitally half toned.
I always prefer rough art… there’s a weird vibrancy in the construction lines, all the possibilities (that I probably missed haha)
I added Mr Precocious for my own amusement.
If anyone wants the limited edition T-shirts, then ORDER NOW, as I’m almost out of the Pressure Drop design (and then that’ll be it for them!), and this week is the last opportunity to get them before Christmas!
Thanks for all your support this year!
Home from 4 days in Leeds for Thought Bubble (which was fantastic!), where I got to meet the bloomin’ wicked Rufus Dayglo at last! :D
//Alrighty Nonnie got creative on this one. Running on mobile. I get asked this question a lot and honestly ya can start from anywhere. But if you want some of my top choices these are my 5 from within my own collection. starting from the Top left: “Tank Girl One” The early works and quirks of the balding and spit in your face anti-hero! brought to you from the wonderful, gentle minds of Jamie Hewlett and Alan Martin. The beginning of it all. Part of a set of three.
next is “Tank Girl the Gifting” Ashley Wood, Rufus Dayglo are the artists and Alan Martin writing. first come back after years of hiatus with even a special message from Tank Girl herself. a load of pock marked stories of Barney, Booga, Jet and a mishap with a Buck Rogers Ray gun. This is an excellent long dark tea time for the soul. (Douglas Adams reference there.)
moving down to the bottom left we got “Tank Girl Badwind Rising.” one of my personal faves because TG and Booga have an epic lovers quarrel. I am a sucker for timey whimey dimensional shit rifts and this has it all. With grand artistic displays that will leave your eyeballs melting. Its true Dayglo. Its so very true. artwork by Rufus Dayglo with tutti laying writings by Alan Martin.
moving on in this paragraph long post because mobile does not believe in indents we got “The cream of tank girl” brought to you by many letters of the alphabet, Jamie Hewlett, Alan Martin, and good ol’ fashion money. so this book is filled with pictures, sketches, some old comics and tales from Alan an Jamie on the life of their beloved creation. these images are brilliant and truly give me a mental mind fuck. a lot from deadline magazine where tg first started out.
and lastly but surly not least “We Hate Tank Girl” this one actually delves a bit into Tank Girl’s army days which I like. with a few extra snip bits to the nether region of other tales. This one has sharp art work with images that made me crack up. tank girl’s eyes are quite expressive and the story lines really gave her depth. With of course her normal tear em up, spit in the face of a thousand haunting nights. one I constantly read. art work by Rufus Dayglo, writing by Alan Martin.
now mind you Nonnie, these are just a few of my choices. I am already making this into a super long post, but I have so many more that I would reccomend. For a variety of reasons. Enjoy, live long and prosper and don’t let anyone touch your tank.
Last chance to order the SOLID GOLD DEATH MASK and TANK GIRL t-shirts pre-THOUGHT BUBBLE COMICS FESTIVAL! (I’m heading to the Con tomorrow!
